FALL RUSH 2025

Letter from the Pledge Coordinator
Dear Our Lovely Possible New Members,

When I first came to Texas A&M, I had no clue Kappa Phi Beta Christian Sisterhood existed. I had a very difficult first semester and didn’t focus on the Lord in the way that I should have. I was in a Christian women’s org but I didn’t really feel that it was bringing me closer to Him. At the beginning of my sophomore year, Jacy (my then roommate) and I went to MSC Open House together not knowing we were about to find our college home. Pledging wasn’t difficult or stressful, it was just getting to know a group of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met. When I talked with them, it felt like we’d known each other our whole lives. I met some of the closest friends I’ve made in college through retreat, getting my CCs, and just talking to the other girls. I even found my roommates Ashlyn and Mackenzie through having the same big.
When I was blessed with the role of Pledge Coordinator for the 2025-2026 school year I could hardly contain my joy, but I started planning far before that. I decided during my pledge semester that I wanted to be Pledge Coordinator and I already knew the theme. The Fall ‘25 Rush Theme being “We Picked the Phinest Bunch" is that goal coming to fruition. This theme was chosen to remind our Kappa Phi sisters of their worth in the eyes of the Lord. Our rush verse, Luke 12:27-28 “27 Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will He clothe you—you of little faith!” perfectly illustrates that message. My goal for this semester is to spread God’s love to the girls who need it here on campus and show the importance of sisterhood in Christ. I believe that this is something Kappa Phi Beta does every day and I can’t wait to show that to all of you!
When you’re looking for a Christ-centered sisterhood, wherever it may be, it’s important for you to prioritize your relationship with God. I am a perfect example of this, sometimes it takes a while to find your people. While you are thinking and praying over joining Kappa Phi, think about what’s important to YOU! Whether we see you once or you’re the future Kappa Phi Beta Christian Sisterhood President, we are praying for you! I hope that Kappa Phi makes as much of an impact on you as it has on me! I’m so excited to meet and get to know every single one of you!
Love,
Kate Lafferty
